Petronet LNG Limited is one of the fastest growing world-class Public Limited Company in the Indian energy sector. It has set up the country's first LNG receiving and regasification terminal at Dahej, Gujarat with present nominal capacity of 17.5 MMTPA and another terminal at Kochi, Kerala having a nominal capacity of 5 MMTPA. The Company had set up South East Asia's first LNG Receiving and Regasification Terminal with an original nameplate capacity of 5 MMTPA at Dahej, Gujarat. The infrastructure was developed in the shortest possible time and at a benchmark cost. The capacity of the terminal has been expanded in phases which is currently 17.5 MMTPA and the same is under expansion to 22.5 MMTPA in two phases. The terminal has 6 LNG storage tanks and other vaporization facilities. The terminal is meeting around 40% of the total gas demand of the country

Petronet LNG Limited, a leading company in the Liquefied Natural gas Industry today announced  Shri Prabhat Singh's taking over as MD & CEO. Shri  Prabhat is a Civil Engineer having graduated from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, and brings to his new role  around 35 years of relevant experience  of working in the Hydrocarbon Industry both in MNC and Public Sector Maharatna PSUs. He is a vastly experienced professional having worked his way up in diverse areas including Project Planning & Management, Project Execution, Exploration & Production, Training & Organizational Reforms  and Business Planning & Marketing. Shri Prabhat Singh has been Director of Marketing of GAIL (India) Limited since February 24, 2010. He also served as the Chairman of Ratnagiri Gas and Power Private Limited erstwhile Dabhol Power Company) and during his tenure has commissioned the 5 MMTPA LNG regasification terminal at  Ratnagiri.
Shri Prabhat Singh as Chairman of GAIL Global Singapore Pte Ltd. (GGSPL), created a global trading arm at Singapore, which is currently creating value & managing India's pioneering efforts towards global LNG business.
Shri Prabhat Singh has been instrumental in putting India (GAIL) on the world gas map, being one of the first countries to have sourced LNG (based on Henry Hub) from the US. This has also brought the opportunity to build LNG ship in India under Government of India’s flagship’s programme "Make in India".
Shri Prabhat Singh’s major contribution has been the execution of world's longest exclusive LPG pipeline project from Jamnagar to Loni. The project was recognized by the Asian Development Bank as the "Best Managed Project" of the year. He was also instrumental in ushering in of the "Open Access Common Carrier Principle" in India which brought in a paradigm shift and contributed manifold in transitioning the pipeline transportation industry of the country into the matured industry that it is today.
Shri Prabhat Singh is one of the core contributors to the concept of gas pooling for power & fertilizer sector which is under successful implementation.
Shri Prabhat Singh also led "Project Parivartan" in GAIL - a highly human oriented change management initiative which put "people at the heart of corporate purpose" to address the changing business environment. During his tenure as Director(Marketing), he has been known as a “turnaround personality with human touch”. He has brought revolution in the mind set of traditional marketing and its concept in GAIL.
Shri Prabhat Singh has also been a  member of National Auto Fuel Policy of MoPNG & member of the Governing body of Rajeev Gandhi Institute of Petroleum and Technology, Raibareily.
Before joining GAIL (India) Limited and serving the company for almost 20 years, Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Shri Singh had served in various leadership position at British Gas, EIL and NTPC.
Today, Shri Prabhat Singh is recognized as a visionary professional in the Industry for having a great business sense with a human touch & communication skill.
